He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Host (Joseph) and Gay Host. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Huff; his children, VelaDona Yocum (John W. Woods) and Melvin Huff, Jr.; his granddaughter Hana Yocum (Lanc Bednar); and his siblings, Troy Host (Marilyn) and Vicky Lowe (Jerry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
