He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Cappas and Emma Cappas; and his sister Patricia (Tom O'Connell). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Cappas; his children, Abbey Carney (John) of Erie, PA and Lucas Cappas (Janet Ferraro) of Morgantown; and his grandchildren, Clark and Julia Carney. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hastings Funeral Home (153 Spruce St, Morgantown, WV 26505).
