He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bartrug and Arlice Bartrug (Merrifield); and his wife Barbara Grace Bartrug. He is survived by: his children, Shelley S. Buseman (William) and George R. Bartrug; his granddaughter Heather Cochran; his great grandchildren, Carlee Cochran and Christina Farmer; and his pet Oreo.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hastings Funeral Home (153 Spruce St, Morgantown, WV 26505).
He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, remembered for his warm spirit, unwavering devotion to his family, and many contributions to the community.
