He was predeceased by: his parents, Dane Chaplin and Virginia Richmond Chaplin; and his brothers, Floyd and Ralph. He is survived by: his wife Jean Neehouse Chaplin; his children, Betty Jochum (Larry) of Sistersville, Sharon Triplett of Cambridge and Randy Chaplin of Moundsville, W. V.; his siblings, Martha Sego of Zephyrhills, Fla., Barbara O'Brien of Zephyrhills, Fla., Phyllis Boggzevity of Zephyrhills, Fla. and James Chaplin of Moundsville, W. V.; his sisters-in-law, Ellabea and Julie; his grandchildren, Virginia Goddard (Jared), Desiree Triplett, Sarah Jasenec (Jeremy), Tarah Barr (Owen), Mark Jochum and Laura Goudy (Joe); and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Liam, Layla, Jakob and Kaiden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
