He was predeceased by: his parents, Okla Earsy and Merle Virginia Burton (Hall); his daughters, Michelle Elaine and Misty Lynn; and his siblings, Shirley Stocklask, Linda Barr and Samuel Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Logsdon Burton; his children, Okey Burton (Janina) and Beth Phillips (Thomas); his siblings, Frances Persinger (Gene), Judy Frey (Joe), Diane Whitlatch (Sam), Virginia Richmond (Bobby), Jim Burton (Tammy) and Alfred Burton; his sister-in-law Joyce Burton of Moundsville, W. V.; his grandchildren, Darrick Phillips (Mindy), Lyndsey Knicely (Bobby), Whitney Burton, Logan Phillips and Lakyn Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Adalyn Phillips and Taytum Phillips. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
