She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Blake and Annie Martin Blake; her husband James McDowell; her siblings, Ruth, Helen Pratt, Bob and Herbert; and her grandson Mathew J. McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Charlott Szafran, Richard McDowell and Dennis McDowell (Christy); and her siblings, Shirley Greathouse, Elwood Blake, Terry Blake (Barb), Larry Blake and Donald Blake. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
