He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Asher and Thelma Starkey Asher; his wife Sherry M. Jones Asher; his sons, Stacey L. Asher (Vanessa) and Travis L. Asher; and his sister Alice Ann Criss.
He is survived by: his son Michael R. Asher (Debbie Lavezza) of Clarksburg; his granddaughter Isabella A. Asher of Chub Run; and his sister Linda Whyte of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
