She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smith and Stella Snyder Smith; her husband Gary Sterling Metz; and her children, Debra and Harold "Ray" Burrows.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Clark (Edward) of Lost Creek and Karen Goves (Van) of McWhorter; her grandchildren, Amberly Kiser (Matthew), Edward Clark, Jr. (Allie), Van JR Groves (Deidra), Justin Groves, Jennifer Sue Smith, Olive Rule, Ricky, Stella Donaldson, Jessie, Angel Eagle and Ashley Tetrick; and her siblings, Lorena Thomas and John Smith of Glenville, WV.. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
