He was predeceased by: his mother Reta "Jean" Davis of Sutton; and his siblings, Wilma Davis, Genelee Shuman, Kenneth and Murl Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sons, Ira D. Freeman Jr. and Tom Freeman (Kristi) of Moatsville; his grandchildren, Jaron Freeman (Rachel) of Grafton, Riley Freeman (Brittany) of Philippi, Mikhela Curtis (Sean) of Moatsville and Brock Freeman (Taylee) of Bridgeport; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Paislee, Liam Freeman of Grafton and Crew Curtis of Moatsville; and his siblings, Lowell (Shirley), Gary (Wanda) of Moatsville and Loretta Norris (James) of Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who were more like sons and daughters.
