She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford E. Hypes, Sr. and Annie Taylor Hypes; her siblings, Betty Jo Hypes, Maude Canterbury (Henry), Nelva Webster (Sam), Buford E. "Bud" Hypes and Peter P. "Pete" Hypes (Rachel); her niece Bertia Elaine Hypes; and her nephew Frank "Bucky" Blackwell.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Trudy Blackwell, Tammy McKinney (Clifford), Andrew Canterbury, Sam Webster, Petie Hypes (Miranda), Elizabeth Hypes (Jeff) and Derrick Hypes (Nancy Lilly).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church (319 Highland Ave, Mullens, WV 25882). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5250 Robert C Byrd Dr, Mt Hope, WV 25880).
