He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Meade and Dixie Meade; his wife Lavonne Meade; his granddaughter Gerrie Jo Meade; his grandparents, George and Georgia Meade; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Elizabeth "Betty" Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda (Phil Hercenberg), Bonnie (Sam Craddock), Earlene (Donnie Boley) and Ronnie Joe (Roxanne Meade); his sister Betty Bigney of Barboursville, WV; his grandchildren, Brandon (Cameron Vance), Chad (Monica Craddock), William (Natasha Burke), Bethany Hercenberg, Kimberly Meade and Mary Lavonne Meade; his great grandchildren, Savannah Vance, Nick Craddock, Alec Vance, Madison Vance, Oliver Vance, Joshua Nunley and Trenton Nunley; and his goddaughter Michelle Glanden.
