Floretta Jarvis Nester Obituary
We bid farewell to Floretta Jarvis Nester of Newton, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 21, 2025 at the age of 105. Floretta touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Dwight and Eska May Allen Jarvis; her husband William R. "Bill" Nester; her son-in-law Ronald K. Taylor; and her siblings, Frankie Eddy, Dona Drake, Mary Callaway, Naomi Myers, Luberta Neil, Lucy Helmic, Noble Jarvis and Marvin Jarvis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn S. "Billie" Taylor of Newton and Pauletta A. King (Jerry) of Newton; her grandchildren, Pam Berkhouse (Marilyn) of Ravenswood, R. K., Patty Eckels (Todd) of Morgantown, W. Va and Paula Price (Dillard) of Huntington; her great grandchildren, Colter, Cassidy, Lindsay (Ryan), Leah (Jeremy), Kayla (Kris), Jeremy (Caroline), Madison and Krista; her great great grandchildren, Noah, Evan, Charlotte, Ella, Jackson and Hudson; and her brothers, Oliver Jarvis, Jr. of Huntington and Larry Jarvis of Florence.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Laurel Point Cemetery.
