It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lanham of Newton, West Virginia, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Michael leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lanham (Bill) and Wanda Carte-Chapman; and his stepfather Roger Chapman. He is survived by: his daughter Akayla Cummings; and his siblings, Billie Huffman (Larry) of Walton, Scott Holcomb (Kacie) of Newton, Leslie Blanton of Ovapa and Billy Lanham of Clay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
