He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Maddy and Clara Meador Maddy; his wife Martha Maddy; his stepson Lewis Meadows; and his siblings, Ronald, Arnold, Wilmer Maddy, Colean Bolton, Avalene Richmond and Phyllis Ratcliffe.
He is survived by: his son John Maddy (Katie) of Lexington, KY; his stepdaughters, Nancy Hanlon (Andy) of Huntington, WV and Margaret Barbour (Russ) of Huntington, WV; his sister Mary Pleoger (Skip) of Sedro Wooley, WA.; and his grandchildren, Stephen Barbour, Becca Barbour, Abby Hanlon, Adam Hanlon, Jack Maddy and Sam Maddy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pivont Funeral Home Chapel (100 Park Ave, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
