He is survived by: his wife Greta Mae Thornton Cristee; and his children, Janet Sue Thornton Garrison (Wesley) and John Curtis Thornton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159).
