He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Reed and George W. Harper; his siblings, Darrell, Roxie and Johnny; and his parents-in-law, Manuel and Wilma Legg.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae "Susie"; his children, Kim Higley (Jeff) and Mike (Sandy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Harper (Shawn), Jason Marsh (David), Mark Harper (Bethany), Dustin Harper (Kendra) and Brandon Harper (Erin); his great grandchildren, Cassie, Jason Tester, Alley-Gene Webb, Evelyn, Peyton, Graham, Poppy, Ila and Emma; and his great great grandchild Amelia Mae Scarberry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Keller Funeral Home (1236 Myers Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
