We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2023, at the age of 82, Dexter Lee Melott of Northfork, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel Kirkpatrick; his wife JoAnn Melott; his son Robert James Melott; and his siblings, Mary Fulmer and Gary Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by: his siblings, Edward "Aaron" Kirkpatrick of Paden City, WV, Charles Kirkpatrick (Jeanie) of Follansbee, WV, Charlene "Twink" Rice of New Manchester, WV and Sue Anderson (Don) of Weirton, WV; his niece Michelle Kirkpatrick of New Martinsville, WV; and his close friends, Reverend Ed, Lois Todd of Northfork, WV, Gary and Dawn Caudill of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
