He was predeceased by: his mother Rev. Shirley Spears-Simpson; his son Jason Freeman; and his grandson Kyle Vance. He is survived by: his father Rev. Harold Spears-Simpson of Northfork, WV; his children, Steven Simpson II (White), Lisa Simpson of Garland, TX and Cheryl Simpson; his brother Mark Simpson (Christie) of Tazewell, VA; his grandchildren, Kassidy Vance, Kenley Vance, Erika Simpson, Madison Simpson, Natalie Simpson and Brooklyn Simpson; his niece Carah Jones (Nicholas); his nephews, Tyler Simpson, Caleb Christian and Caden Christian; and his great-nephew Tate Jones.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Book Hotel Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
