It is with sadness that the passing of Alice Marie Sutton Guire of Norton, West Virginia is shared. Alice, born on November 5, 1929, passed away on October 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Adam Sutton and Vada Lee Gum Sutton; her husband Peter G. Guire; her siblings, James Milton Sutton, Naomi June Hoyet and Clara Mae Smith; and her half-siblings, Allen Ray Sutton, Mary Ruth Cubbage and Judith Lucille Maxwell.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Joseph "Joe" Guire of Norton, John Herbert Guire (Helen Lucille) of Mabie, James Anthony "Jim" Guire (Desirre) of Elkins and Rebecca Ann Amorese of Elkins; her brothers, William Herbert Sutton of Hayden, CO and Ivan Clark Sutton of Sykesville, MD; her grandchildren, Victoria Lea and Andrew James Guire; her niece Barbara Ann Tolbert; and her caregiver Kathy Zirkle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - Elkins (120 1st St, Elkins, WV 26241). A vigil service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Patricks Catholic Church (200 Church St, Coalton, WV 26257).
