She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman N. Gerrard, Sr. and Nola K. Snodgrass Gerrard; her husband James Lee Funk, Sr.; her brothers, Thurman N. Gerrard, Jr. (Dorothy) and Clayce Gerrard (Bonnie); her brothers-in-law, Robert Page Funk (Doris) and Donald Funk; her son-in-law William Sutton (Bill); her cousin Freda Michaels; and her grandmother Betty.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Mazzei of Johnson City, TN, Vicky Sutton of Punta Gorda, FL, Debbie Nutter (Gary) of Clarksburg, Jimmy Funk (Rosanna) of Clarksburg and Steve Funk of Nutter Fort; her grandchildren, Scott Mazzei (Leslie) of Johnson City, TN, Eric Mazzei of Johnson City, TN, Matthew Mazzei of Johnson City, TN, Michael Nutter (Ashley) of Bridgeport, Nicole Bennett (Michael) of Clarksburg and Brandy Sutton (Mark Yankowiak) of Bozeman, MT; her great grandchildren, LeeAnn Edgley (Ethan) of Tennessee, Ian Mazzei of Tennessee, Emily Mazzei of Tennessee, Faith Mazzei of Tennessee, Nola Nutter of Bridgeport, Nate Morrow of Bridgeport, Sara Comer of Clarksburg, Jacob Comer of Clarksburg, Carson Bennett of Clarksburg, Kole Sutton of Florida and Wellington Sutton of Florida; her brothers-in-law, Juan Schmidt of Clarksburg and Richard Schmidt (Karen) of Katy, TX; her sibling's children, Kelli Stewart of Texas and Christopher Schmidt of Texas; her cousin Karen Betler of Nutter Fort; and her friend Margie Wolverton of Bridgeport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department.
