We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 86, Shirley Lee Ashcraft Loar (Nutter Fort, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley Lee Ashcraft shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley Lee Ashcraft farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Ashcraft and Delma Ashcraft; her brother Roy Ashcraft; her grandson Seneca Garrett; and her great grandchild Ian Justus.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend James Loar; her children, James G. Loar (Beverly), Keith Loar (Sandy) and Terry Garrett (Howard); and her sister Mary F. Weeks. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the same location.
