She was predeceased by: her parents, William Williams and Ruth Williams (Taylor); her former husband Charles D. Mapes; her daughter Ruellen Mapes; and her son-in-law Eugene "Gene" Hawk.
She is survived by: her children, Charles W. "Chuck" Mapes (Janet Bogen) of Harrisville, WV, Grenda Hawk of Charleston and Theodore "Ted" Mapes (Jenny Kopp Mapes) of Florence, SC; her siblings, Waneta Shilling of Kent, OH and Hencie DeGive of Fl; her grandchildren, Brittany Hawk (Adam Williams), Duncan Mapes (Liz Keenan), Stuart Mapes (Crystal Long) and Will Mapes (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Maya Mapes, Liam Lynch, Braxton Mapes, Lawlis Mapes and Dallis Mapes; her siblings' children, Gwen Carroll, Tim Coleman, Mark Shilling and Hayden Laffoon; and her husband Dale.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home (329 E Main St, Clarksburg, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
