It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jane (Epperson) Hess-Thomas of Oak Hill, West Virginia, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Epperson and Geneva Epperson (Smith); her former husband Russell Lee Hess; her husband John Thomas; her son Billy Hess; and her brother David Epperson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joni Green (Thomas), Ginger Pembroke (David) and Rhonda Hess; her grandchildren, Tomara McGinnis (John John), Jeffery Thomas, Tara Harper, Samantha Hess and Victoria Callahan; and her sister Barbara Copn.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (3221 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery (16155 Midland Trail W, Clintonville, WV 24931).
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations of sympathy be made to the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene 3221 E. Main Street Oak Hill WV, 25901.
