He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. Smith and Helen M. Smith; and his siblings, Betty Lively, Mary Meyers, Goldie Stapus, Helen Sizemore, Virginia Hodges, Beulah Schnake, Roy Smith and Reba Sayers.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Smith; his children, Karen Vaughn, Crystal Bolen (Kepple) and Jason Morris; his grandchildren, Ashley Vaughn, Haley Remy, Sydney Vaughn and Michael Vaughn; his great grandchildren, Everson Remy, Briar Ayers and Roselina Freeman; his brothers, Charles, Darrel, George, Ray and John Smith; his cousin Bruce McCormick; and his pet Toby.
