We announce the death of Earnest Keith Lester of Oak Hill, West Virginia, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Earnest will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lester and Lila Lester; his brothers, Kenneth Lester and Allen Lester; and his stepdaughter Dawn "Renee" Farley.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Lester; his children, Donna Lester and Lee Lester (Angie); his sisters, Carolyn Osborne, Marlene Duncan, Mary Lester, Brenda Vass (Fred) and Linda Markland (Ed); his son-in-law Doug Farley; and his grandchildren, Adam Lindsay (Veronica), Ryan Delgman (Michelle), Brent Lester (Misty), Eric Lester (Andrea), Rusty Brown, Heather Vargas (Brandon) and Kristin Lester. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Bowers Hospice House which gave him and his family so much care and comfort in his final days.
