He is survived by: his daughter Hollie Phillips (Aaron Phillips); his grandchildren, Andrew Phillips (Erin Fox), Caleb Phillips, Haley Phillips, Abigail Phillips and Jessica Goodson; his great grandchild Violet Phillips; and his brothers, Norman W. Staples and Michael Nowlin.
