Joy Lou (Kidd) Painter Obituary
The memory of Joy Lou (Kidd) Painter (Oak Hill, West Virginia), who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenon Kidd and Macel Kidd (King); and her brother Bobby Kidd. She is survived by: her husband Rudy Painter; her children, Kristen Painter (Adkins) and Matthew Painter; her grandchildren, Myah Joy Adkins, Eden Farmer (Jacob), Caylin Adkins, Jackson Adkins, Lexi Adkins and Macel Adkins; her great grandchildren, Charleigh Joy-Marie Farmer and Rudi Belle Farmer; her sisters, Deanna Stafford and Sherrill Patrick; and her sister-in-law Cathy Joines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1424 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the High Lawn Memorial Park (1435 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Hospice of Southern WV or Calvary Baptist Church Youth Group.
