He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Frederick and Dollie Sue Burgess Nichols; and his siblings, Mary Burgess, Mildred Burnette, Margie Sneed, Marth Longino, Ray Nichols, Ralph Nichols, Charles Nichols, Clarence (Nichols), Robert Nichols and Ernest Nichols.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Nichols (Ashley) and Melissa Walsh (George); his brother Donald Nichols; his grandchildren, Sky Nichols, Gerik Walsh, Kara Walsh, Celeste Walters-Walsh, Abigail Walters-Walsh, Carlee Davis and Kennedy Taylor; his stepson Jackie Webb (Sara); and his nephew Burl Burgess (Sharon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church (13 Terry Ave, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the High Lawn Memorial Park (1435 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A committal service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
