He is survived by: his wife Gina Lucky Tanner; his children, Kimberly Dawn and Derek Allen Tanner; his granddaughter Emily Dawn Prater; his siblings, Richard Tanner, Kathy Green, Regina Hensley (Scott), Marilyn Brewster (James) and Leslie Brooks; and his close friend Glen Barnett.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1424 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the West Virginia Memorial Gardens (146 Little Beaver Rd, Calvin, WV 26660).
