It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hameed Thomas (Osage, West Virginia), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his birth parents, Leon Rudolph Sr. and Francis Lenola West McKinley; his adoptive parents, Zenobia Thomas and Herbert Thomas; and his siblings, Rudolph McKinley Jr., Leonard McKinley, Bruce Thomas, Steve Thomas and Georgetta M. McKinley.
He is survived by: his children, Hameed Hughes, Rahmeed Hughes and B'Nai Thomas; and his sisters, Gwendolyn McKinley, Carol Hickman, Gail Thomas, Valerie Njie, Brenda Thomas and Terri Thomas. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jesus Mission Apostolic Church (464 Scotts Run Road, Osage, WV 26543).
