He was predeceased by : his parents, Denton Shingleton and Ova Jean Sunderman Shingleton; and his sister Carol Shingleton. He is survived his children, Jennifer Maslany of North Carolina and Joel Shingleton of Knoxville, TN; his aunt Martha Pickens of St. Mary; and his siblings, David Shingleton of St. Mary, Robert Shingleton (Ellen) of St. Mary, Bill Shingleton (Trina) of St. Mary and Ann Ward (Larry) of St. Mary, as well as the mother of his children, Julie Jackson.
