He was predeceased by : his parents, Delbert Dewey Ward, Sr. and Freda Louise Casto Ward; his daughter Carol; and his siblings, Delbert, Jr., Steve, Michael and Dorothy.

He is survived by : his children, Sara Welling and John Ward; his grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Evelyn, Joey, Carol, Vivian and Colson; and his brothers, Bill Ward and Richard Ward.
