It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Baker (Parkersburg, West Virginia), who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Archie and Lena Alice Baker (Layfield); and his siblings, James O. Baker, Boyd R. Baker, Carrell L. Baker, Oren W. Baker and Lorna K. Burwell.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rose Fox Baker; his children, Larry Ray Baker (Vickie Fulks) and Cynthia Rose Baker; his grandson William Joseph Baker; his siblings-in-law, Jean, Loretta Baker and Robert Burwell; and his caregiver Camden Clark. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (1934 Dupont Rd, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to South Parkersburg Baptist Church Senior Connections team, 1655 Blizzard Drive, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
