He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bennett and Edith Simms Bennett; and his sisters, Danvil "Danny" Bennett (Bill Bennett), Lee Bennett (George "Tucker" Bennett), Shirley Bennett Stickler and Sallie Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest Bennett, Jr. (Destinie), Jacob Bennett (Emily), Kacy Bennett (Mark), Jessica Nutter (Jason) and Melanie Pullen (Trish); his grandchildren, Maia, Jonah, Sophia, Leo, Oliver, Patience, Mason, Marigold, Waylon and Trenton; the mother of his children Tacy Cornell Bennett; his brother James Bennett (Fran); and his sibling's children, Edith Storer, Eddie Bennett and Barbara Burdette.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rainelle Chapel (283 Main St, Rainelle, WV 25962). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
