He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Johnson and Della P. Johnson (Smith); and his siblings, Freda Stoneking, Ann Allrutz, Ruby Hajjar, Christine Murray, Lena Murray, Mary Hammett, Kenneth and William Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnson (Bell); his children, Carla Coss (Mark) of Ohio, Debra Bumgarner (Doug) of Parkersburg, Richard Johnson of Parkersburg, Sandy Enoch (Chris) of Parkersburg and Susan Lucas (Parker) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Shawn, Amanda, Robert, Sarah, Sonya, Austin, Stephanie, John, Michael, Mercedes, Chris, Parker, Stacie and Kaylie; and his sister Carolyn Johnson of Harrisville. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
