With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Kay Alkire of Parsons, West Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard "Bill" Wilson and Sarah Eleanor Hornbeck Wilson; and her sisters, Eunice Jane Martin and Lenora Ann Wilson. She is survived by: her sons, JD Alkire (Ruth) and Eric Alkire (Michelle); her grandchildren, Jordan Alkire, Chase Alkire (Taylor Nevils), Bryce Alkire (Madelyn Beale), Shannon Miller and Robbie Toth; and her great grandchildren, Zane Miller, Matthew Toth and Ethan Toth.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Kay Alkire to Tucker County Athletic Dept., 116 Mt. Lion Way, Hambleton, WV 26269.
