He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Albert and Sylvia Ruth Shaffer Lipscomb; his son Randy Lipscomb; and his siblings, Allen, Bob "Honey", Rodney, Chet Lipscomb, Velma "Poke" Roy, Virginia Ferrell, Carol Godfrey (Dora) and Glennis (Otis).

He is survived by : his children, Jerry Lipscomb (Brenda) of Morgantown, Mark Lipscomb (Cheryl) of Flemington and Kathy Lipscomb Helmick (Rick) of Leadmine; his siblings, Gary Lipscomb (Lynn) of Parsons and Mary Litman of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonah, Bethany Lipscomb, Alan Polomski and Carrie Leary (Franco); his great grandchildren, Joanna, Isaiah and Alexander Leary; and his stepgrandchildren, Misty, Laylah and Austin Ritter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
