It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Lea Black Carr of Parsons, West Virginia, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Edward Black and Tacy Katherine Wratchford Black; her husband Don Carr; her children, Danny Carr, Katherine and Karen; and her brother Jerry Black of Rainelle.
She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Nestor; her grandson Chris (Heather); her great grandchildren, Prestlea of Morgantown and Lakelynn of Morgantown; her granddaughter Alicia Cale (Wes); her great grandchildren, Silas and Rosalea of South Dakota; her nieces, Cheryl Ball of Rainelle and Teresa Black of Rainelle; and her sisters-in-law, Patsy Lambert, Marie McDaniel, Donnie Arnold, Pearl Fields and Mary Ann Etzel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - Parsons (312 Main St, Parsons, WV 26287).
