She was predeceased by: her parents, James Junior and Wilma Jean Marshall (Criss); her sisters, Lisa Austin and Charlotte Marshall; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Beckner, James Chipps and Earl Strang.

She is survived by: her sons, Walter Anthony "Clyde" Shaffer (Missy) of Pennsboro, WV and Eric Shawn Shaffer of Pennsboro, WV; her grandchildren, Tyler Shaffer of Pennsboro, WV, Brendan Shaffer (Hannah Harbart) of Fairmont, WV and Breanna Hansen (James) of Fairview, WV; her great grandchildren, Brayden Hansen, Ryley Hansen, Kaylee Hansen and Mason Shaffer; her siblings, James Marshall (Nancy), Sandy Beckner, Roger Marshall (Brenda), Susan Chipps, Richard Marshall (Diane) and Carol Strang; and her aunt Shirley Marshall Smith.
