We bid farewell to Ervaleen L. Shaffer of Pennsboro, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 6, 2025 at the age of 71. Ervaleen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Russell and Erma Leontyne Smith (Baker); her husband Ira Dennis Shaffer; her nephew Jared Furby; and her nieces, Ella Wince and Jennifer Broce.
She is survived by: her daughter Maria Hamlin (Bill) of Rural Hall, NC; and her siblings, James Smith, John Smith, Joe Smith, Justin Smith, Earlyn Powers, Jeff Smith, Ellen Wince, Jay Smith, Elisa Barnhart, Evonee Furby, Eva Collins, Erosa Carr, Etta Saltz and Jason Smith. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
