He is survived by : his parents, Lynn Wells and Carol Wells (Hurst) of Pennsboro, WV.; his former life partner Diane Wells of Pennsboro, WV; his sons, Chris Wells (Lori) of Harrisville, WV and Evan Wells of Pennsboro, WV; his grandchildren, Alexis and Grayson Wells; his siblings, Bryan Wells (Lisa) of Mineral Wells, WV, Brenda Scarlett of Newburgh, IN and Sherri Wells of Vienna, WV; and his brother-in-law Gary Doak. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations on Rick's name be made to the Pennsboro Vol.

“In loving memory of Rick L. Wells, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I Have some great memories from growing up around Rick. I'll never forget about the crazy fast snow tubing track he was involved in building across from Norman Jackson's place. A few minor injuries with memory's for a life time. RIP my friend.”
