He was predeceased by: his parents, Frankie Overland Helmick and Nancy Bell Hartman Helmick; and his brother Robert F. Helmick. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Helmick of Petersburg, WV and Kimberly Helmick of Woodstock, VA; and his siblings, Kenneth E. Helmick (Mary Sue), Jane Wellons of Moorefield, WV, Wilma L. Sherman of Moorefield, WV, Judith Bennett of Petersburg, WV and Deborah J. Davis (Homer) of Burlington, WV. He is also survived by five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
