She was predeceased by : her parents, Brownley Homer Sherman and Ethel Virginia Sherman (Southerly); her husband Olie J. Hartman; her son Joseph L. "Whitey" Hartman; her daughter-in-law Anna Marie Hartman; and her siblings, Lawrence Sherman, Daniel Sherman, Allen Sherman, Betty Barrett and Helen Coppe.
She is survived by : her sons, Dennis O. Hartman, Sr. (Marcella) of Petersburg, WV and Jeffrey M. Hartman (Lori) of Petersburg, WV; her grandchildren, Dennis O. Hartman, Jr., Brandy Kuykendall (Adam), Nathan Hartman, Wes Hartman, Kelli Feaster (Chase), Kayla Hartman (Remmington Rennix) and Brett Hartman; her stepgrandchildren, J. R. Hinkle (Kimberly), Carla Dent and Whitney Hinkle (Brittney); and her brothers, Ronnie Sherman (Shirley) of Moorefield, WV and Jimmy Sherman (Anna Mae) of Milam, WV. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren.
