He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thompson and Iva Jane Thompson (Bennett); his daughter Melissa Sue Hott; and his siblings, Ollie Judy, Donna Thompson, Riley W. Thompson and Ivan R. Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Louise Thompson (Kimble); his daughter Rachel Louise Thompson; his grandchildren, Danielle Eubanks, Jesse A. Thompson and Rebecca Ann Thompson; and his sisters, Susie Hicklin of Riverton, WV and Nancy Bergdoll of Durgon, WV.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
