He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Raines and Fannie Crawford Raines; and his brothers, David E. "Bubba" Raines and Ronald Raines. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Butler Raines; his children, Anthony Raines of Peterstown, WV, Bradley Raines (Heather) of Stuarts Draft, VA, Richard "Richie" Raines Jr. (Tara) and Amanda Belcher (Ryan) of Peterstown, WV; his grandchildren, Cade, Adia, Luke, Emmy, Elly, Emmalee, Zoe, Richard, Sydney and Landon; and his sisters, Marie Goodwin of Lewisburg, WV, Shelby Walker of Lewisburg, WV, Gladys Whittaker (John) of Pembroke, VA and Margaret Martin (Butch) of Christiansburg, VA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and many friends.
