With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Jane Bowers (Peterstown, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Wilson Biggs and Beulah Jeanette Morris Biggs; and her grandchild Deresa Bowers. She is survived by: her husband Richard Bowers; her children, Larry Bowers (Sherry) of Newbergh, IN, David Bowers (Patty) of Princeton, WV, Rex Bowers (Jodi) of Lindside, WV and Lisa Bowers Munsey (late James Munsey Jr.) of Lindside, WV; her siblings, Harry Biggs (Louise) of Lindside, WV and Nancy Biggs of Wikel, WV; and her grandchildren, Jason Bowers, Samantha Jellison, Theresa Bowers, Jennifer Bowers, Deric Bowers, Bret Bowers, Britney Greer and Amanda Dunbar. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home (111 Market St, Peterstown, WV 24963). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
