With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Christopher Hughes Johnson (Philippi, West Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his sister Jennifer; his grandparents, Charles, Alma Jones, James Lee and Chessie Johnson; and his father-in-law Joseph W. Adams.
He is survived by: his parents, Dwight "Huey" Johnson and Nancy E. Johnson; his wife Theresa Lyn Johnson (Adams); his daughter Gwendolyn N. Adams; his mother-in-law Beverly J. Adams (Stacey); his sister-in-law Stacey M. Adams; and his pets, Oliver and Briscoe. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wright Funeral Home (220 N Walnut St, Philippi, WV 26416). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Jones Family Cemetery.
