It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarice Lee Spessert of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Lee McCauley and Marie Edith McCauley (Shaw); her husbands, Alston Jay Spessert and Charles B. Corley Sr.; her son Allen Lee Corley; and her half-siblings, Johnny Leary and Evelyn Virginia Leary.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Butch Corley Jr. and James Ray Corley; her grandchildren, Melody Valentina Corley and Jordan Douglas Corley; her sister Lula Mae Pingley; and her half-siblings, Emery Joe Leary, Betty Leary and Marrian Leary. She is also survived by many other nieces and cousins.
