He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Marcellus Compton and Patty Simons; his significant other Martha Clark; his sons, Billy Compton (Brandi) and Chris Compton (April); his siblings, Glenda Eakle (Doug), Amy McKinney (Luke), Tammy Compton, Jane Williams (Mike) and Joseph Compton (Lauren); and his nieces and nephews, Tom, Rachel, Emily, Cody, Logan, Tyler, Mason, Sadie, Abby, Ava, Kaleb, Elizabeth, Roman, Jacoby and Lain.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Wilcox Chapel at Battlers Knob (101 College Hill Rd, Philippi, WV 26416).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please check your audio levels and turn the low-end up just a little higher than feels responsible.
