It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Emmett Baker of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Lee and Armenia Baker (Swiger); his spouse Jennis Joann Baker (Haskins); his siblings, Verma Zitella, Ruby Norene Newbrough and Doyle Baker; and his son-in-law Gary Norman.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Jean Norman (Baker), Steve Baker (Jill) and John H. Baker; and his grandchildren, Russell (Joyce Norman), Kristoffer (Jennifer Norman), Joshua (Jamie Baker), Nicholas (Corrina Baker), Daniel (Lorrie Baker), Nicole (Jason Gochenour) and Steven (Courtney Baker). He is also survived by 26 Great-Grandchildren.
